Description: January 22, 2010—Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich joined Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, and local officials at the County's Emergency Management Center to discuss the State of Emergency declared for the Counties of Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside due to the storms.
The declaration will:
- Waive regulations which may hinder response and recovery efforts;
- Make recovery assistance available under the California Disaster Assistance Act;
- Expedite access to federal resources and disaster relief programs, including the United States Army Corps of Engineers.
